Hotel ADA Inspection Requirements

Hotels, and other places of lodging, have very specific ADA requirements to accomodate your guests with accessibility needs. Accessible guest rooms have very detailed bathroom layout requirements, furniture placement criteria, reach range standards, and dispersion requirements, that need to meet strict ADA standards. Plus, there are additional requirements for your visually and hearing impared guests. With more than 20% of Americans having some disability, it's a great marketing opportunity to provide accessible services for your guests, ensuring that all your guests can have an enjoyable experience and will want to return and visit your hotel again in the future.

In addition to your accessible guest rooms, there are many other locations on your property with possible ADA violations that can invite lawsuits, including swimming pools, spas, exercise equipment, play areas, guest laundries, dining areas, parking lots, accessible routes, and more.

An expert, detailed, hotel ADA inspection report performed by ProCASp ADA Consultants will not only help you avoid costly lawsuits, but will ensure that you are providing a great experience for your valued guests. By providing a safe and comfortable experience, you can raise your hotel’s profile through positive word of mouth.

With a Disabled Access Inspection Certificate by having a hotel ADA inspection from ProCASp, you can gain "Qualified Defendant" status. This status grants you protections from certain legal fees, extends time constraints, gets an early evaluation, reduces overall costs, creates additional steps for the plaintiff, discourages unnecessary lawsuits and more.
